The following is an email that I received from JB after i contacted him re friends of  Raincliffe .I was given a message that JB had decided to have nothing more to do with the friends group and had offered the name cash and website to the forge valley &raincliffe woods action group with no strings attached .I was reluctant at first but was persuaded to accept on behalf of the group and approached JB through the Web site .bellow is his reply.
to make it clear both the groups that I represent as chair  are opposed to the plans put forward By JB and will do all in our power to have the proposals rejected
Ron Baxter
I understand from email from Phil Calagham that you Ron Baxter over the website and the funds in the name of the Friends. and you will accept it.
As it was myself that talk to Alan Tomlinson over this and if the full thing had been put to you, you would have know it would not just been giving just like that but like always you jump in with out thinking and that’s your big down fall.
If Alan put it to you as it was put to him one of the thing’s would have been that you work with us on the woodland and not keep standing in are way putting out things that you know are not so.
Re-looking at this offer it’s no longer there we keep the website and the fund’s still in it can help to pay for are feasibility study. As you may know Alan on Monday last with a full meeting of the Community Asset Transfer Panel when the Expression of Interest was re-put in under the name of Raincliffe Wood Enterprise the panel felt the proposals put forward in the revised Expression of Interest would enhance the use of Raincliffe Wood. It was, therefore, agreed that further feasibility and planning work should be undertaken to progress the proposals.
The next steps were agreed as: To discuss the boundary issue, Further meeting with CAT panel to discuss findings of feasibility study. prior to a full business plan being completed.. to involve Defra in discussions. and  North York Moors National Park and all that is going on now with the feasibility study been in by end of May / June.
As the funds will still be going on Raincliffe it can go to pay for some of the things we are doing.
Alan why are we having pit fires in the wood it taking some time to stop fire’s in the woodland and now seeing this we will end up with more fire’s going on and just got it working as you know what will come next you can have fire in wood so why can we not and end up with it all back there so I would be more than happy if no fire’s was in the wood as all the work to stop it was done for nothing
a lot of work was done to stop this with the police and myself we have to keep the one Law all the way not one of them and we do what we like not work that way Alan before we know we will have fire’s all over the woodland as before. and it back out of hand if you have to do something with it chip it and can go for something  but not fire’s.
