What a beautiful spot Parish Wood is in Filey FBOG whose membership manage the woods made us welcome and we got on with the days task, laying a hedge, its amazing how much can be done by volunteers in a day. We managed two stretches and we would have liked to do more unfortunately some of the hedge was to thinly planted, so we recommended some infilling and in a few years time we can come back and finish the full strip. We hope to work with the Filey Bird observatory group again in the near future on their stunning reserves and to have FBOG visit us on Raincliffe meadow
This Saturday the volunteers will be concentrating on that wonderful task of cutting back the Black and Hawthorn on our Western boundary, planting a mixed hedge on the same stretch .
On Wednesday The Wed group will be concentrating on path revetment on East gate and cutting back the brambles on the same stretch of path.
