Mares tale a tale of hope

We have under advice started to control and hopefully remove the vast majority of this old plant from the Meadow. it will be a long term task but it can be done with some hard work and patience. We should have started earlier in the year but we are where we are,the plan is to cut the Mares  Tale down about 4 times a year for at least three years. In the end with a bit of luck and a following wind this concentrated management should see the end of the stuff, this will help the water supply to the wetland  letting march plants to take hold
